RIP 1962-2008

Last friday, author David Foster Wallace hanged himself, committing suicide, leaving his fans with an ominous question mark.  Why?  A gifted writer leaves his body, leaving his fans with a body of work unparalleled by current thinkers.  Hilarious, intelligent, and obsessive, Wallace made the most banal topics interesting.  Who else could write an engrossing dictionary review, complete with extensive footnotes that engage the reader?  You will be missed, DFW.
