I just lost 11 pounds in about two hours.
It was a hot and sweaty first day back at school today, and when I got home, I figured I would check my weight to see if the day had made any difference. I got on the scale, and to my surprise, it showed me that I weighed the same as I did on Sunday, a whopping 290 pounds. Yes, 290 pounds. Sure, I wear it well, being 6' 4" tall, but that's not a friendly number.
I decided I'd try out my Wii Fit. When I logged into my Mii, the Wii told me that it had been 56 days since my last session. I guess I need to get on this a little more frequently. Well, I went through my body test and ended up at 279 pounds. I lost 11 pounds in a matter of hours. My BMI was 33.99, which stuck me in the obese category. Great. A few days ago, I was in the PE office and I measured my body fat percentage and BMI on some little handheld doodad they have down there. I'm 31.4% fat according to this machine. That's better than the 100% I expected. Maybe I don't need to lose weight if I'm 68.6% bones, muscles, and viscera.
My goal for the end of the school year is to lose 40 pounds. I can do 40 pounds by June. I think I can do 40 pounds by March. I'll keep you updated on my progress.
